Make Your Own Valentine's Day T Shirt

Hello! Can you believe it is almost Valentine's Day? Me either, I feel like this year is already flying by!
I love making shirts for my kids to wear especially for a holiday. So since my daughter is going to be having a Valentine's Day party in her kindergarten class I wanted to make fun glittery shirt for her to wear that day.

I started by buying her a plain pink t shirt. I got hot pink so it would match the holiday. The fun thing about making shirts is you can customized them any way you want. My Vinyl Direct has so many colors it make the possibilities endless I tell ya!

So then I sat down at my computer and came up with a design. I used one of the new digital designs available right here in the store. I then found some heart designs that were on my computer and laid it all out. Once I was ready to cut I separated it so I could cut the LOVE word in red glitter.

Now, before you cut anything for a heat transfer design DO NOT FORGET THIS : YOU MUST FLIP THE IMAGE HORIZONTALLY! (mirror) This way it will cut the right direction for when you flip it and lay it down on the shirt.

So then once I cut everything out in the coordinating colors that I want, I lay it down on the shirt to get an idea of where I want everything to be and make sure it looks good.

Then I move aside some of the designs and iron one thing at a time. I do it this way so that I can make sure I am really ironing each item really well. I also like to take the tip of my iron and trace around the edges of the images and letters to just give it extra security.

After I iron it really good and go around the edges, that is it. (make sure it gets lots of pressure!) I peel up the clear sheet and it is all done.

Then I gave it to my daughter who insisted on trying it on right then. She is excited to wear it to her class party.

To care I just always wash inside out to make sure it is a little gentler on the heat transfer.
